ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Samina Masoodi was born in Kashmir and is currently living in USA. She is passionate about preserving Kashmiri language and culture for future generations of Kashmiris. She spent countless hours listening hundreds of Kashmiri songs and writing down lyrics, initially on her notebook, which later took the form of the books.
Kashur Wanwun Vol II book is fifth in the series of Kashmiri books that includes compilation of more than 650+ Wanwun huers, with English meaning in parentheses for hard-to-understand Kashmiri words.
First book “Manzeraath” in collaboration with Samia Qazi was published in 2017
Second book, Kasher Khander Baeth with 118 kashmiri song lyrics was published in 2018 .
Third book, Kashmiri Wanwun, focussed on traditional wanwun, was published in 2020.
Kasher Bathh book is fourth in the series of Kashmiri books that includes compilation of lyrics for popular Kashmiri songs in easy to understand “English” version. This eBook is the foundational repository of the Kashmiri songs with lyrics in a searchable and collaborative wiki, which is expected to grow to thousands of Kashmiri songs.
