Samina Masoodi was born in Kashmir and is currently living in the USA. She is passionate about preserving Kashmiri language and culture for future generations of Kashmiris. She spent countless hours listening to hundreds of Kashmiri songs and writing down lyrics, initially in her notebook, which later took the form of the books.
This book is the fourth in the series of Kashmiri song books that include compilation of lyrics for popular Kashmiri songs in easy to understand “English” version. This eBook is the foundational repository of the Kashmiri songs with lyrics in a searchable and collaborative wiki, which is expected to grow to thousands of Kashmiri songs.
First book “Manzeraath” in collaboration with Samia Qazi was published in 2017
Second book, Kasher Khander Baeth with 118 Kashmiri song lyrics was published in 2018 .
Third book, Kashmiri Wanwun, focused on traditional wanwun, was published in 2020.
